Settled or shifted pavers often appear around pool decks, patios and walkways. A repair starts by understanding whether the issue is limited to the bedding material or involves the base, drainage or edge restraint.
02 / Settle and rebuild the support
Where the sand-based installation allows it, we direct water into the exposed bedding area to help existing sand settle into gaps beneath the pavers. We then add fresh bedding sand, compact it and level the support before resetting the pieces.
03 / Reinstall and finish
Reposition the pieces to match the surrounding surface, adjust the joints and review the repaired area.
When tree roots lift a driveway
Tree roots can push driveway pavers out of level. In an appropriate repair, we lift the affected pavers, assess and remove interfering roots where suitable, rebuild and compact the support, then reset the pavers. Large roots or ongoing tree growth may require a different solution.
This is one example of a repair approach. If erosion or poor drainage caused the settlement, the cause may need attention before the surface is reset. The method depends on the installation and material.
